Perception Reflection ~ Sink, Float or Swim?
Okay… so it's not much of a grand photo. The water in and of itself was gross I'm telling you…
but the moment I saw the frog in the cess pool and the relection of beauty around him…
it sure did inspire the thought wheels to turn… meditating.

Do you see yourself sinking in a mass of polluted life in your midst...
Do you feel yourself falling deeper in the stagnant swamp we fight to win...
Does your reflected visual image reveal you floating amidst the bubbly surface...
Is your floating going no where, with no way to win...
Or are you floating higher above life's troubles and worry from others that would condemn...
Does your reflected visual image reveal you swimming upward past the turmoil...
As for me, I'm trusting Jesus as He leads, Trusting Jesus because in this... yes even in this, we are created to win?

Attitude Baby... Attitude! I'm with the frog who says...
"Find me in the flowers if you can"!
I/We have choice - sink, float or swim!
Cindy Utterback > Here he comes Sparkles... Do you see the goldfish?

Well I did it... decided to start some self portraits. Even though my favorite place is behind the camera it dawned on me that I had very few photos of Rodney (dh) and I together. I know I won't have much time to figure out the remote and such when Rodney's there so I guess I'll have to start practicing on myself.

Today I learned...
    - It's really hard knowing just where to sit when the camera is mounted on the tripod way above you on the deck. Especially when the dogs keep hearing the camera click and are bumping the tripod trying to figure out what all the noise is about. LOL!
    - I hate the dark circles under my eyes even more than I thought I did... ugghhh!
    - Hiding the remote is not easy. (Will try the remote with time delay next time).
    - I hate the dark circles under my eyes even more than I thought I did... ugghhh!
    - Animals don't cooperate when your trying to take self portraits.
    - I hate the dark circles under my eyes even more than I thought I did... ugghhh!
    - Most of the photos end up in the recycle bin...
    - Did I mention I hate the dark circles under my eyes... LOL!!! UGGHHH!!!
Not sure how often or how many of these I'll attempt... we'll see. Sure hope my mug doesn't scare you'll off to badly. Technical comments and critiques and advice greatly welcomed but please don't remind me how awful I look ~ I know that already! Thanks :-D

More from today's shoot including a couple where I was petting the goldfish can be seen at:

Cindy Utterback > Yep... this country girl never minds a little mud between her toes :-D
Cindy Utterback > What a goof ball smile... gee.
Cindy Utterback > Daydreams
Cindy Utterback > Here I am trying not to always look at the camera while attempting these first ever self portraits... Sparkles couldn't stop looking though because she kept hearing the camara click.
Cindy Utterback > Here he comes Sparkles... Do you see the goldfish?
Cindy Utterback > I love sittin and relaxing by the stream in front of our house. Once in a while I even get lucky enough to pet one of the goldfish. Peaceful heaven on earth.
